Promoting mental wellness, health, and resilience has a positive impact on many areas of a young person’s life, including academic learning, family and social relationships, and in later years, their professional success. Children and youth who are resilient are better able to cope with challenges, manage stress, and make healthy choices. Yet, many children and youth do not have access to behavioral health supports they need.
Lurie Children’s Center for Childhood Resilience (CCR) is dedicated to promoting access to high-quality mental health services for children and adolescents across the nation. Their expert team leads innovative trainings, develops new interventions, and builds strong city and statewide school and community collaborations. Through this work, CCR promotes systems change, increases access, and reduces mental health disparities.
