When Original Puffer Hug® co-creator Jim Higley was just 14 years old, he found something tucked away in his mother Betty’s purse after she passed away—a short, typed poem about kindness. Jim knew it was her own special roadmap for life.
Today, it’s the heart behind all Puffer Hug products. We are committed to spreading kindness every day—big or small—just as Betty envisioned.
Our Inspiration: Hugs
It all started when Original Puffer Hug® co-creator and lifestyle expert Meredith Sinclair’s young sons wanted to create meaningful, useful gifts for their grandparents. They needed something simple yet special—so they found a fleece wrap pattern (pictured) and called it a “HUG” because that’s what they truly wanted to give. This heartfelt idea became the inspiration for the Original Puffer Hug!
