Our Foundation: Kindness
Long before Puffer Hug existed, kindness was already shaping its future.
When co-founder Jim Higley was just 14 years old, he discovered a short, typed poem tucked inside his late mother Betty's purse. Jim came to realize it wasn't just a poem, it was the quiet roadmap by which she had lived her life.
Today, Betty's example continues to inspire everything we do. It reminds us that kindness doesn't have to be grand to make a lasting difference. Sometimes the smallest gestures leave the biggest impression.
Our Inspiration: Hugs
The idea for Puffer Hug began with a simple act of love.
Co-founder and lifestyle expert Meredith Sinclair's young sons wanted to create meaningful gifts for their grandparents. They found a fleece wrap pattern and called their handmade creations "HUGS" because that was exactly what they wanted to give.
That heartfelt idea became the inspiration for the Original Puffer Hug®—and for a company built on comfort, kindness, and human connection.
